The evening of 17th March started with the bustle of students, staff and parents all of whom were gathered in Al Jahly School Auditorium to celebrate the Graduation Ceremony of outgoing students of Al Ain Juniors School. The ceremony was organised meticulously to celebrate as well as to inspire the outgoing batch of students. It began with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Ahmed Mushtaq from Grade 12. This was followed by the UAE National Anthem and Al Ain Juniors School Song. A warm welcome address to all the attendees was given by Ms. Ayesha, the Vice-principal of AJB. She also presented tokens to the dignitaries. Her engaging speech set the stage for Dr Faris, our chief guest for the evening. She encouraged the graduates to prepare and face their life ahead with confidence.  Mrs Tanveer Arshad, the Managing Director took the stage next and gave a motivational speech in which she stressed the importance of education and training received during the school years being the foundation for their future careers.

After a short prayer break, the audience were welcomed back with a toast by Ahmed Mohammed and Moaz Adel and a melodious performance by the Al Ain Juniors School Choir. Malek Tleti and Ahmed Sherif from Grade 11 then went on stage to appreciate the outgoing senior batch for inspiring them with their hard work and of setting a good example for their juniors. The much-awaited highlight of the evening came next where the young graduates came forward to receive their testimonials. It was made specially memorable for them by selected profile readers who detailed all the accomplishments, hobbies and interests of every graduate.

This was followed by the presentation of special awards to outstanding achievers namely Ishaa Najiba, for academic excellence in economics and excellence in extracurricular activities, Rida Faisal for public speaking and voluntary award Moaz Adel for star performer award, and Mohammad Moghis for outstanding learner award and best outgoing student award.  As a special note, Mohammed Moghis achieved ‘world-topper’ in Biology and U.A.E topper in Chemistry in his AS level examinations.

In recognition of his achievement, Mohammad Moghis took to the stage to motivate other students and gave insights about the different study techniques he followed to achieve such amazing results. Shortly after, a time of reminiscing followed in which Ansam, Rida, Wania and Mustafa had the stage to share experiences from their school life. They all unanimously concluded that school life was the best phase in everyone’s life. The ceremony gradually came to a close with a final speech by Mr Gaffar our Principal who reminded all  on how graduation marks the beginning of a new part of life. As he spoke, the graduates lined up on stage and the ceremony officially concluded with the graduates throwing their graduation caps in the air. What a remarkable evening it was!
